Wireless Computer Speakers

Just like at the movie theater, you can have surround sound computer speakers.  Almost gone are the days of using multiple sets of speakers to try to simulate the surround sound effect.  Now with the proper sound card, you can have true surround sound for your computer system.

As more of these products enter the market, each one is trying to out-do their competition.  The newer models also come with wireless surround sound speakers.  Some are only the rear pair, and mostly for convenience, but some expensive models have all wireless satellite speakers. 

As these wireless speakers get popular and widely available, here’s a few things to look for:

 - Digital or Analog inputs, or both

 - Remote control receiver unit

 - Mounting hardware or Speaker stands

 - Overall power rating

 - Placement instructions for best sound

If you’re new to surround sound, you’ll want to experiment with the placement of your speakers.  To get the best sound field, or "sound effect", place the speakers several feet from each other.  The space you have available is always a consideration, but also check the limit of any wireless satellites you might have.  You’ll want to keep you signal loss to a minimum.

This is a brief summation of what to expect when looking at surround sound computer speakers.  A good quality name brand will almost always get you the results you’re looking for, when upgrading your computer speakers.  Be sure to check some user reviews online, to help narrow down the product you wish to purchase.
