If you are looking for amazing speakers for your PC or game console, and want to keep an amazing amount of money in your pocket, look no further then these! If you are familiar with the quality of Logitech, then you already know we don’t need to review that, because it is Grade A. Ill just sum it up with this, CRISP,CLEAN, BRILLIANT 5.1 surround sound with plenty volume to go ’round. And seriously $80?!?!? I thought I was dreaming until they arrived at my door…

As these wireless speakers get popular and widely available, here’s a few things to look for:

- Placement instructions for best sound

…I’ve looked at all the other powered speakers on amazon and these Sony’s are perfect and at a great price. Order it for the PC as it does come with an adaptor with RCA’s on one end and 1/8 plug on the other or get it for the TV as theres nothing better at this price. I’d also like to add that the pictures do not do the system justice.. The subwoofer is seriously impressive and massive as in expensive looking and big.

Last note, this thing will blow the windows out! Serious bass and power. You have been warned!

One important task for gamers is finding the right gaming computer speakers. If you’re buying a ready-made name brand PC, it might have a speaker built into it. But here on out, we’re mostly referring to a custom built clone PC. The reason for that is because clones are easily upgradeable. Unless you’re working on an unlimited budget, most gamers don’t always have all their accessories or the best parts when the system is first put together.

One important factor to consider is the placement of the speakers. For gamers, it’s critical to hear everything that’s happening in their playfield. It’s a good idea to have the speakers right in front, near the monitor, for best sound. Another popular addition is getting a 3D or surround sound audio card and surround speakers. That lets you have a pair of speakers behind you, and adds to the realistic play. You don’t want an enemy sneaking up behind you, that you can’t hear.

Because not every gamer has an ideal place to play, another option is wearing headphones. Headphones work best if other people are nearby and are easily disturbed by computer sounds from a gamer. A few manufacturers have played into this recent development, and really expanded it.

Just about all of them have a built-in microphone for communication, that’s almost standard. Now they have multi-channel headphones, giving the surround sound experience along with the privacy. I’ve seen a wide price range for these recently. You can find a very good pair for as little as $50, but that was online. If you go lower than that, you might be disappointed by the results, and they’ll probably be similar to regular, 2 channel headphones. Do some searching online, I recently found one set featuring 8 channels. That’s 8 separate audio speakers, 4 on each side with 1 for sub-woofer output.

That’s quite an improvement over the standard 2 channel computer speakers. Consider upgrading your gaming computer speakers to headphones if you have an interest.

Cheap Computer Speakers

One of the best ways to increase functionality and enrich your multi-media experience is adding computer speakers. You don’t have to break the bank to get good sound. Not everyone has a lot of disposable income for their PC sound. We’ll explore some options and find a good set of cheap computer speakers.

The most common found speakers these days are either a 2 piece or a 3 piece set. A 3 piece set of speakers (sometimes called a 2.1 set) includes a bass box, or sub woofer. The bass box greatly enhances the sound coming from the two satellite speakers. You might find some generic brands priced as low as $20, and the better known brands go up from there. Several years ago, at a now defunct computer store, I found a clearance sale on last year’s model of a 2.1 system. They were only $20 a set, so I loaded up, and eventually used them later.

Upon locating some cheaper models, you might find some passive speakers, that aren’t powered at all. Another "feature" of the cheap models will be that they’re battery powered. I don’t recommend them. It’s not very convenient if you have to replace the batteries often, depending on how much you use them. The better quality computer speakers will be amplified, so they’ll have a power cord to plug in the wall.

Take a look around and you’ll be able to find a good sounding set of cheap computer speakers at most computer retailers, or online. You could also go the eBay or Craigslist route, and find a used set of speakers. Some people are looking to downsize, so they’ll sell off some good quality items at a discount. If you’re going the used route, look for the well-known name brands, as some of the lesser quality brands might have issues or even stop working after some time.

Finding speakers for your computer. A lot of advances have taken place since multi-media became part of the computer system. Back in the mid 90’s when CD-Roms got cheap, they became a standard in all PCs. Then people started playing audio CDs on their computers. It didn’t take too long, but audio eventually became popular enough that people wanted a good sound experience sitting in front of their computers.

More recently DVD drives have become the norm, so users are playing movies on their computer systems as well. Getting movie sound can start to get expensive, if you want the experience of all the movie sound effects. Not only movies, but computer gaming also drove the multi-media market to require good sound.

The hardware choices are fairly simple. You’ll find a basic 2 piece speaker set will be good for general computer sound. There’s also a 3 piece set that includes a sub, or bass-box, that compliments the sound on the low end. They’re also called 2.1 systems on the labeling. Many users opt for the 2.1 speaker systems, because they deliver good sound and don’t have to be expensive.

If you have the space, and the spare change, you’ll also find several configurations of surround sound computer speakers. 5.1 surround speaker systems usually have 5 or 6 speakers total.
